The spirit of Christmas is everywhere. In fact we already decorated and illuminated our homes with blinking and Christmas trees. We also decorated our respective offices and we are even excited on what to wear and present during our Christmas parties. Christmas can be felt in malls and public places. School children are likewise rushing to celebrate Christmas before the break. It is no doubt; the most awaited and exciting period of the year, perhaps the most festive of all seasons. It is a time of renewal of relationships, exchanging memories and gifts, and merrymaking which are characteristics of family reunions and gatherings of friends and batches. Everybody is trying to find means to celebrate Christmas.
Let us not however overlook the spiritual dimension of Christmas, that what we are celebrating is the coming of Jesus 2000 years ago and the greatest preparation should be within ourselves. We have to cleanse ourselves because we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. We have to clean and decorate this temple and welcome Him in our hearts. The most meaningful Christmas celebration is with Jesus. Our love and all our strivings to become a better person are the greatest gifts that we can offer to Him this Christmas. Let us consecrate ourselves to Him so that we can be more loving, merciful and helpful; to be able to also bring the spirit of Christmas to the less fortunate.
Merry Christmas and advance happy new year to all of us!!!
