“In the same way, let your light shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
- Matthew 5:16
The birth of Jesus Christ is every Christian’s anticipated celebration every 25th of December. His coming embodies the salvation of mankind from sin as a gift of love from the Father in heaven. Commission on Audit (COA) Region 10 dazzles this merriment last November 23, 2018 at COA Regional Office with the Christmas tree lighting event.
The program was hosted by Ms. Nina Guingging of the COA Information Technology Services which started with an opening remark from Regional Director Atty. Celso Vocal. The event was made more profound with Christmas greetings from the Commission Proper, from Commissioner Roland Pondoc, Commissioner Jose Fabia to Chairperson Michael Aguinaldo. This was followed by the lighting of the Belen and a countdown to lighting the tree. The COA Chorale X graced the moment rendering “Kumukutikutitap” caroling song ensued with the sing-for all visayan panaygon songs “Kasadya ning Taknaa”.
The event apart from symbolically representing the Savior’s coming, showcased COAN values of camaraderie, generosity of talents and fellowship just like how Christ would have wanted us to shine our lights before others to glorify our Father in Heaven. Kudos to each COANs!
